Dioscorus the Great (? — 454 AD) was the 25th Pope of Alexandria. He was the immediate successor to Pope Cyril of Alexandria, and was a great defender of the Alexandrian Christological formula, Miaphysitism. He is deemed a saint, by the Orthodox Church.
